SG Code Campus focuses on teaching kids and teens how to solve problems in a digital world by using core concepts from computer science. We believe that computer science is a discipline that has applications in many fields - this is emphasised in our classroom where our younger students code to solve problems in data science, security, robotics, app development, game design and many more. We achieve this breadth by engineering and customising open source coding education platforms like Scratch. Older students explore these themes directly in the context of a real-world programming language - Python.
By focusing on key skills such as how to isolate the core of a problem; decompose complex ideas; recognise patterns; and devise reusable solutions, we arm our graduates with a strong foundation in computational thinking, which they can bring with them to whichever field they choose to specialise in.
